Newport church hosts holiday fund-raiser

A Holiday Fair Fundraiser and Silent Auction for Emmanuel Church will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

On Friday evening there will be an eat-in or take out lasagna dinner, with tickets costing $10 for adults, $5 for children. During the dinner, from 6 to 8 p.m., there will be live music by the Matt Leder Trio.

The Holiday Fair will continue on Saturday with a silent auction, All Saints Chapel Tea Room, bake sale, hot dog lunch, children's activities, and craft vendors.

Donations of non-perishable foods will be collected during the fair and items will be donated to local food pantries.

The church is located at the at the corner of Spring and Dearborn streets in Newport. Parking is free. For more information, call 847- 0675 or 662-7839.
