Toymaker looking for holiday donations for needy children
      With a mission to bring a smile to the face of every child in Rhode Island this holiday season and to help families in need, Hasbro is launching a new giving program - the Hasbro Holiday Express. Through this new program, Hasbro is encouraging Rhode Islanders to donate new blankets, boxes of cereal or packages of diapers.

Teens to make college visit to RWU
      The Jamestown Teen Center tour of Roger Williams University has been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 11, with transportation departing at 10:30 a.m. On the tour there will be university students available to answer questions from participating teens.

Garden club holds meeting on Monday
      Quononoquott Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Parish Hall. President Jill Meyer will convene the business meeting, at which the club will discuss business including the May 2009 plant sale and June 2009 garden tour- both requiring months to plan.
