Holiday program spans the seasons

The Jamestown Community Chorus will hold their annual December holiday concert, "Fall Into Winter," on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Central Baptist Church.

The theme of the concert will be unique. There are sixteen holidays and occasions between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice, including Oktoberfest, Yom Kippur, All Saint's Day, Veteran's Day - right on through Thanksgiving and Christmas to Boxing Day.

Reflecting these events, some 22 musical numbers such as "Autumn Leaves," "A Song of Hanukkah," "Hymn to the Virgin," and "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" will be on the program. It will end with the rousing, "Twelve Days of Christmas."

The new Youth Chorus will be part of this presentation, to be held at the church, located at 99 Narragansett Ave. The program begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
