Thanks for balanced coverage
      I wish to extend a sincere thank you to the Jamestown Press for the comprehensive and balanced coverage it did for the now concluded local campaign season. Though my personal campaign for state senate was obviously not victorious, I felt I was fairly treated and covered during what was an extraordinarily busy local campaign season that coincided with the presidential race.

Town should keep valuable land
      The editor of the Press had previously requested readers' opinions on what to do with the old highway barn. On Monday, Oct 20, Jamestown had the first unpublicized so- called 'workshop' on that subject.

Be safe during hunting season
      We would like to inform our fellow Jamestown residents that Nov. 8 starts the "official" season of muzzle loading on Jamestown. This hunting season runs through December.

Remembering my father
      I want to thank everyone who participated in and supported the 7th annual Peter C. Clarke Memorial Golf Tournament, which was held on Oct. 12 at the Jamestown Golf Course. We had a perfect fall day on the course with a great turnout from friends and family.
