POLICE LOG
      Embezzlement charged Candi Mooney, 30, of Park Street, was charged Nov. 24 with obtaining money under false pretenses and embezzlement over $1,000, according to Rhode Island State Police. Mooney was arrested as the result of an investigation initiated by the owner of Chopmist Charlie's restaurant, where she was a former employee, state police said.

      Lauren Brown and Alex Bush, both of North Kingstown, announce their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ted and Deborah Brown of Saunderstown. She is a 2003 graduate of North Kingstown High School and graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2007 with a degree in human development and family studies.

      A daughter, Abbie Kaite Tighe, was born Nov. 15, 2008 at Women and Infants' Hospital to Jill (Dybala) and Howie Tighe of Jamestown. Grandparents are Anne and Tom Tighe of Jamestown and Margie and Ed Dybala of North Kingstown. Her sister is Ellie Grace Tighe.
