Chorus to add youthful voices to program

The Jamestown Community Chorus will present its "Fall Into Winter" program in two concerts on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec.14, at 3 p.m., at the Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave., in Jamestown.

Advance tickets are available at Baker's Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware, and the Secret Garden. Tickets will also be available at the door. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and $7 for seniors.

This year's concert theme is "Fall Into Winter," and the program will feature songs that trace the progress of the season, from "September Song" and "Autumn Leaves" to "The Landing of the Pilgrims." Several Christmas season songs will round out the program, including "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow," ending up with the rousing "Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas." In all there will be 22 musical numbers.

New to this season's concert is the addition of a Youth Chorus, who will perform some selections on their own, and join the adult chorus for others.

A festive atmosphere is predicted! For more information, call 423-1574, or visit the chorus' website at www.jamestownri.com/chorus.
