Driving with a suspended license

• Carlos Garcia, 24, of Providence, was charged Dec. 2 with driving on a suspended license after being stopped for running a stop sign on Conanicus Avenue, police said.

An arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 12 at Newport District Court, police said.

• Peter Largess, 19, of 450 Davit St., was charged Dec. 4 with driving on a suspended license after a routine traffic stop on North Main Road, police said.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12 at Newport District Court, police said.

Bench warrant violation

David Robinson, 22, of Bristol, was arrested Dec. 3 on a bench warrant violation from Providence District Court during a routine traffi c stop on Route 138, police said.

Robinson was held overnight at the police station, arraigned at Providence District Court on Dec. 4 and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions, police said.

Drunk driving charged

• Anthony A. Pennine, 39, of 170 Conanicus Ave., was charged Dec. 4 with first offense drunk driving and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test after he was stopped for driving erratically on Davis Street, police said.

Pennine was held overnight at the police station and arraigned Dec. 4 in Newport District Court, police said.

• Josh P. Kingston, 19, of Exeter, was charged Dec. 6 with first offense drunk driving and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test, police said.

According to police, Kingston was operating a vehicle that struck a telephone pole on Beavertail Road and he failed a field sobriety test administered at the scene of the accident.

Kingston was held overnight at the police station and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace. A pre-trail hearing is scheduled for Dec. 19 at Newport District Court, police said.
