Storytime suspended for holiday season

There will be no storytimes at the Jamestown Philomenian Library from Wednesday, Dec. 24 to Friday, Jan. 9. The staff at the library wishes everyone a joyous holiday season.

Some new changes will be made for winter storytimes. Librarians will be registering participants in the storytimes beginning on Dec. 30. Some of the times have changed as follows:

• Mother Goose time for children birth to 2 years on Wednesdays from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. will involve the child and adult in stories, finger rhymes, interactive songs and a coloring project.

• Storytime for children ages 2 to 5 on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:15 to noon will include stories, finger rhymes, interactive songs and a simple craft project. Adult participation is optional.

• Wednesday storytimes are conducted by librarian Denise Wilson. Friday storytimes are conducted by library assistant Dianne Edgar.

Visit the library at 26 North Main Rd. or call 423-7280 to register for these free programs. For more information about library programs, visit the Web site at www.jamestownri. com/library/.
