LaBranche-Tucker wed

Adrienne Janel LaBranche and Dominic Michael Tucker were married Oct. 12 in an outdoor ceremony in Roanoke, Va.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Janet LaBranche of Jamestown and the groom is the son of Duane and Elaine Tucker of Temperance, Mich. The couple met at Virginia Tech while both were pursuing their master's degrees.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Danielle LaBranche and the bridesmaids were Erin Sobodacha, a childhood friend, and Shannon Croy, a cousin. The best man, Joshua Corseaut, and the groomsmen, Michael Haynes and Toby Myers, were all the groom's close friends.

The bride proudly wore her grandmother's wedding headpiece, which was also previously worn by her godmother. Her gown and veil were finished off with lace from her mother's wedding train. The couple met former President Bill Clinton in between their wedding and reception in downtown Roanoke as he rallied for Barack Obama.

The bride is 1997 graduate of Coventry High School, 2001 graduate of Clemson University, and 2005 graduate of Virginia Tech. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in water supply planning from Virginia Tech.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Bedford High School in Temperance, Mich., a 2002 graduate of Michigan State University, and 2005 graduate of Virginia Tech. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in soybean molecular genetics from Virginia Tech.

The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and make their home in Christiansburg, Va. with their two dogs and cat.
