AARP meeting on Monday

The third meeting of the season of the Newport County Chapter of AARP will be held on Monday, Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fenner Avenue Hall in Newport.

The guest speaker for the session will be Rhode Island Senate Majority Leader M. Teresa Paiva- Weed. Ms. Paiva-Weed will speak on the topic of healthcare and other legislative priorities this year.

Members who wish to pay their dues or anyone wishing to join the organization should come earlier to meet with the membership committee. New members should bring their national AARP card to register at the local chapter. Members are also reminded to bring non-perishable food for the pantry project.
