Sheila Kraut, 72

Sheila M. (Gorman) Kraut, 72, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of William F. Kraut for 49 years.

Born in New Haven, Conn., she was a daughter of the late John P. and Julia (Sugrue) Gorman.

She was a graduate of Lauralton Hall in Milford, Conn. Mrs. Kraut was an x-ray technician at Norwalk Hospital before retiring.

Besides her husband she leaves three sons, William J. Kraut of Orange, Conn.; Daniel P. Kraut of Wakefield; and Michael E. Kraut of Exeter; two daughters, Katherine L. Barnes of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Maureen M. Mahoney of North Kingstown; a brother, Sean Gorman of Lordship, Conn.; three sisters, Virginia Norko of Lordship, Conn., Maureen Gorman and Kathleen Crapinzano both of Milford, Conn.; and five grandchildren, Katherine, Carly, Johann, Michaela and Samantha.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan 31, at 11 a.m. in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

Visitation is today, Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 will be appreciated.
