Tour Smith College conservatory and gardens

Join the staff at Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum for a guided tour of the Botanic Garden of Smith College in picturesque Northampton, Mass. on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The garden boasts a large conservatory filled with botanical wonders from around the world: the Cold Storage House displays material being forced for the Spring Bulb Show and the Palm House contains a waterfall and plants from Asia, Latin American, Australia and New Zealand. The Show House features foliar and floral scents of culinary, medicinal, and perfumery significance. Orchids, ferns and succulent displays will also be included in the tour.

Registration is now underway. The tour, including bus transportation, costs $45 for members and $52 for non-members. For more information, call 253-2707, ext. 21.
