Parenting seminar scheduled in Warwick

A day of learning to be an effective parent will be hosted Saturday, March 29 by Bradley Hospital.

Among the topics for the scheduled workshops are "Managing Difficult Behavior in Teens," "Building Self-Esteem in Elementary-Age Children," "Sticks and Stones … A Look at Bullying," and "How to Talk to Kids about Sex."

This year's keynote speaker is Loretta LaRoche, an international stress management and humor consultant, who will present "Parenting with Humor and Optimism."

The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick.

Registration is $25 per person by March 21 and $30 after that date.
