Mary Josephine Dunn, 53
Mary Josephine Dunn, 53, formerly of Jamestown, died Feb. 21, 2008 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Warren.
Born in Wellesley, Mass., a daughter of John E. Dunn, Jr. and the late Rita (Kirwin) Dunn, she lived at the Jimari Group Home in Newport for 15 years before moving to Crestwood Nursing Home.
Mary Jo graduated from St. Colletta's School in Hanover, Mass. She was a member of the first Special Olympics team in Rhode Island. She was an excellent swimmer, and loved to sing and dance.
Besides her father, she is survived by two sisters and six brothers. She was predeceased by her brother John E. Dunn, III.
The funeral and burial were held on Monday.
