Barbara A. Dickinson, 58

Barbara A. (Bandura) Dickinson, 58, of Jamestown, died Monday, March 10, 2008 surrounded by her loving family at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Bert A. Dickinson, Jr.

Born in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Selma Williams and the late Air Force Major William Bandura.

A graduate of the Community College of Vermont, she was an award-winning photographer. She loved tennis, boating, traveling and the company of her grandchildren. Her many talents included a great love of quilting. She worked for many years at the American Cancer Society and had a passion for helping others.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Dickinson and his wife Page of Jamestown, Bert Dickinson III and his wife Christine of Harrison, N.Y., Blake Dickinson and his wife Jane of Saunderstown, Michele Mahaney and her husband Michael of East Barre, Vt.; eight grandchildren, Bert Thomas and Emily Dickinson, Lindsey and Brayden Dickinson; Michael, Nicholas and Benjamin Mahaney; and Jessica Hunter Dickinson.

She was the sister of Otto Feiler, William Bandura, Jr., James Bandura, Charles Bandura and the late Bernice Bandura.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 14, at 11a.m. in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery. Visiting hours are tonight, Thursday, March 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Memorial contributions to Rhode Island Hospital, Comprehensive Cancer Center, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
