Barry A. Stacer, club manager of the Conanicut Yacht Club, a member of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), and presently serving as vice president of NECMA, has been accredited with the "Certified Club Manager" designation by the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).

Stacer was approved by the Certification Committee of CMAA after successfully passing a certification examination. The CCM examination contains nine specific areas, including private club administration, marketing, food and beverage operations and sports management.

Stacer has been the club manager of the Conanicut Yacht Club for 12 years. He joined NECMA and CMAA in 2001 and in the past several years has held numerous committee and board positions with the organization.
