Hospital to benefit from 'Sweet' race

South County Hospital is dedicating its 14th Annual 5K Road Race in memory of the late Freda Sweet, who participated in the hospital's cardiac rehabilitation exercise program three times a week for five years, prior to her death last month at age 97.

Freda Sweet celebrated life through her passion for dance and volunteer work.

Registration may be done online at www.schospital.com, or by calling 788-1610. Pre-registration, prior to April 4, is $20 per person. After April 4, registration is $25. Registration tables will open at 7:30 a.m. on race day. The race begins at 9 a.m. sharp, rain or shine.

All proceeds from the 14th Annual 5K Celebration of Life Race will fund vital programs and services for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients of South County Hospital's Cardiopulmonary Wellness & Fitness Center.
