Carol Rezendes, 71
Carol F. (Gillette) Rezendes, 71, of Mast Street, died March 20, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Rezendes and the companion of Jack A. Simmonds for 24 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Norman W. and Agnes F. (Quinn) Gillette.
She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1954. Carol worked as a switchboard operator for 17 years at Monet Group Company and worked for the State of RI at the Joseph H. Ladd School for eight years before retiring.
Besides her companion she leaves three sons, Don Rezendes of Jamestown, Gary Rezendes of North Providence, and Ricky Rezendes of Pascoag; a daughter, Kim Stimpson of Warwick; and eight grandchildren.
Her funeral was held Tuesday from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial followed in St. Mark Church. Burial was private. Memorial contributions in her memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034 will be appreciated.
