Drunk driving charged

Nicholas Genga, 29, of Stratford, Conn., was charged March 31 with first offense drunk driving and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test after he was stopped for speeding on Route 138 westbound, police said. Genga was held overnight at the police department where he was arraigned. A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for April 18 at Newport District Court, police said.
