Paw Sox event slated for hospice care

Area residents can help support Rhode Island's only statewide hospice with a night out with the Pawtucket Red Sox as they take on the Louisville Bats.

Pawtucket Red Sox Night for Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island will be on Wednesday, June 11, at McCoy Stadium.

Proceeds will benefit Home & Hospice Care of Rhodes Island, which has offered comprehensive medical, emotional and spiritual care for people facing life-challenging illnesses for the past three decades.

It will feature an all-you-can-eat barbecue from 5 to 7 p.m., and the Pawsox game, starting at 7:05 p.m. The $12 ticket covers the barbecue, game and activities such as a prize raffle, music, Paw Sox players' autograph availability before the game and silent auction of New England sports memorabilia.
