Pacesetters walk hard for Jimmy Fund

Joyce Hooley Bartlett, and Vicki and Deken Schmidt of Jamestown, were among the people recognized for their extraordinary results in collecting pledges for the 2007 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai at the Walk's annual Pacesetter reception.

Membership in the Pacesetter Club is reserved for those walkers who generate $1,000 or more in pledges. Members of the Pacesetter Club represent only 22 percent of total walkers in the event, yet their collective work generated more than 61percent of the event's total of $6.4 million. Led by a dedicated and committed group of team captains, 701 teams contributed an astonishing 79 percent of the $6.4 million total.
