First offense drunk driving charged

Kristy A. Lebelle, 19, of North Kingstown was charged June 26 with first offense drunk driving with a blood alcohol level between .10 and .15, after she was stopped for erratic operation of a vehicle at the Mackerel Cove Beach parking lot, police said.

Lebelle was held overnight at the Jamestown Police Department and was arraigned at Newport District Court on June 27, police said.

Driving without a license charged

Leivin Noriega, 27, of Providence was charged June 29 with driving without a license after police observed his vehicle parked underneath the Jamestown Bridge in a no parking zone, police said.

Noriega is scheduled for arraignment July 11 at Newport District Court, police said.
