Help support the animals at Doggie Ball

Take out that tuxedo and put on some dancing shoes for the Black Tie Doggie Ball, Saturday, Aug. 2, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Fort Getty.

The evening will feature an exquisite four-course meal by the Traveling Gourmet, dancing to the sounds of the Dead Blues Society, a photo session and silent auction for guests and their dogs.

Companions will be available to make sure each dog gets five-star treatment, while guests dine and dance the night away.

Tickets are $65 for dog and guest and each addition guest is $35. Black tie or formal attire is required for all dogs and evening party attire for guests.

All proceeds from the event will fund the efforts of the "Friends of the Jamestown Animal Shelter" and the "Paws and Claws' Pet Fund."
