Inauguration bound? Send us your pictures!

There are quite a few Jamestowners heading to Washington, D.C., for the inauguration on Tuesday, Jan. 20, of Barack Obama as President of the United States.

It will be a historic day. Here's how you can share your experiences with fellow islanders: take along your camera and shoot lots of pictures. Then write a short letter about your experience. Finally, e-mail your pictures and letters to the Jamestown Press. (You don't need to take a copy of the Jamestown Press along for these pictures!)

Everyone is welcome to participate, kids and adults. We will publish our readers' pictures and stories about their experiences at the inauguration in the Jan. 29th issue of the Press. So, we will need your pictures and letters by 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26.

Make sure to set your digital camera to make the largest size picture file possible. That makes for a better picture. Files ending in .jpg work best.

If you have questions, call the Jamestown Press at 423-3200. You may e-mail your pictures and letters to news@jamestownpress.com.
