JAMESTOWN EXEMPTION

NOTICE

The Tax Assessor is now accepting applications for the following tax exemptions:

DISABLED: Residents under the age of 65 who are determined to be totally disabled by the Social Security Administration. Also, veterans who have a 100% service-related disability or who have specially adopted housing.

ELDERLY: Residents over the age of 65 with gross incomes below $23,800 for a one person household or $31,800 for a two person household.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED: Residents who are defined as legally blind by Rhode Island General Laws.

VETERAN: Honorably discharged veterans (or surviving spouses) who submit copy of DD-214.

GOLD STAR PARENT: Residents with a son or daughter who has died as the result of service in the armed forces.

Exemptions will apply to the 2009- 10 tax roll. Applications must be filed by March 15, 2009.

unknown shareholders of Bay & Bridge Side Realty Company Inc., the unknown heirs and/or devisees of the unknown shareholders of Bay & Bridge Side Realty Company, Inc. and FEDERAL BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, the unknown shareholders of Federal Building and Development Corporation, the unknown heirs and/or devisees of the unknown shareholders of Federal Building and Development Corporation

WHEREAS, a Petition has been presented to said Court by the Town of Jamestown, a Rhode Island Municipal corporation, to foreclose all rights of redemption from the lien proceedings described in said Petition in and concerning a certain parcel of land situated in the Town of Jamestown, County of Newport and State of Rhode Island, bounded and described in said Petition as follows:

That certain lot or parcel of land with all the building and improvements thereon situated on Steamboat Street in the Town of Jamestown, County of Newport and State of Rhode Island, laid out and designated as Lot No. 114 (one hundred fourteen) on that plat entitled: "JAMESTOWN SHORES PLAT NO. 1 IN JAMESTOWN, R.I. OWNED BY JAMES G. HEAD Scale 1" = 100' April 1947, E. NEWMAN, ENG.'R", said plat being recorded in the office of the Jamestown Town Clerk and designated as Hanging File 1A.

If you desire to make any objection or defense to said Petition, you or your attorney must file a written appearance and an Answer under oath, setting forth clearly and specifically your objections or defense to each part of said Petition, in the Office of the Superior Court, in Newport, on or before the 27th day of February, 2009, that you may then and there show cause, if any, why the prayer of the Petitioner should not be granted. Unless your appearance is filed by or for you, your default will be recorded, the said Petition will be taken as confessed, and you will be forever barred from contesting said Petition or any Decree entered thereon. In addition to the usual service of this Notice as required by law, it is ordered that the foregoing Citation be published forthwith, once per week for three successive weeks in the Jamestown Press, a newspaper published in the Town of Jamestown, County of Newport and State of Rhode Island.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE JAMESTOWN ZONING BOARD OF REVIEW WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING FEBRUARY 24, 2009, AT THE JAMESTOWN TOWN HALL 93 NARRAGANSETT AVENUE, JAMESTOWN, RHODE ISLAND AT 7:00 P.M. UPON THE FOLLOWING:

Application of Seabay Trust, Robert E. Knudsen Trustee, whose property is located at 281 Seaside Dr., and further identified as Tax Assessor's Plat 15, Lot 370 for a Special Use Permit from Article 3, Section 82-314 (High ground water table and impervious layer overlay district) to construct an attached garage addition and renovate existing dwelling.

Said property is located in a R40 zone and contains 32,000 sq. ft.
