Watercolor exhibit opens tonight

The latest Conanicut Island Art Association show, "Watercolors Galore," will begin today, Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Jamestown Town Hall Gallery.

There will be an opening reception tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided along with a cash bar, and guests may mingle with the artists.

Artist Joan Thompson Boghossian of Pawtucket juried the show, which runs through April 16.

A signature member of the New England Watercolor Society and an elected artist member of the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Club of New York, the Providence Art Club, the Mystic Art Association and the Copley Society of Boston, Boghossian has shown in museums, art associations, and galleries regionally, throughout the county, and abroad. She maintains studios in Providence and Narragansett, where she works in watercolor, oil etching and monotypes.

The Jamestown Town Hall Gallery is located at 93 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and is free and handicap accessible.
