'Toast of the Town' will be March 28
The Jamestown Education Foundation will honor J. Christopher Powell as this year's "Toast of the Town."
Best known as the sprightly, zany Commodore of the Fools Regatta, Powell is known for his many contributions to the Jamestown community. As a marine biologist and advocate for conservation, he has demonstrated unmatched stewardship for the environment. The Jamestown Education Foundation invites islanders to the Portuguese American Citizens Club on Saturday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. to thank Chris for his commitment and dedication to the people of Jamestown. This is a change from the original March 7 date.
The evening begins with a cash bar, followed by dinner, music and a host of entertainment. There will be a complimentary champagne toast in honor of Chris. Come listen to favorite bird calls and toast the night away.
Tickets are $50 to $75 per person, with all proceeds funding more programming for the youth of Jamestown. Seating at the PAC Club is limited, so get your tickets early. For more information or to purchase tickets, call Lisa Carlisle at 423-3353.
