The Newport Navy Choristers, under the direction of JoAnn Loewenthal, will present "Music for a Sunday Afternoon" concert on Sunday, March 8, at St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth. With the Jamestown Historical Society museum closed for the winter, the Collections Committee has concentrated on displaying artifacts from the JHS collection at other places in town. Driving with a suspended license charged Mariah Burns, 31, of Warwick, was charged Feb. 26 with driving on a suspended license, police said. According to police, Burns was arrested by Warwick police on a Jamestown arrest warrant and Jamestown police officers took custody of her and transported her to the Jamestown police station. More...
