Driving with a suspended

license charged

Mariah Burns, 31, of Warwick, was charged Feb. 26 with driving on a suspended license, police said.

According to police, Burns was arrested by Warwick police on a Jamestown arrest warrant and Jamestown police officers took custody of her and transported her to the Jamestown police station.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for March 6 at Newport District Court, police said.

Driving with an

expired license charged

Brandon Leo, 23, of Hope, was charged March 1 with driving with an expired license when he was stopped for speeding on Route 138 westbound, police said.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for March 13 at Newport District Court, police said.
