Drunk driving, drug

possession charged

Timothy Gordon, 28, of Narragansett, was charged March 14 with first offense possession of marijuana, drunk driving and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test during a routine traffic stop, police said.

A pre-trail hearing was scheduled for April 3 at Newport District Court, police said.

Drug possession charged

Anne Degnan, 20, of New Britain, Conn., was charged March 15 with first offense possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license during a routine traffic stop, police said.

A re-arraignment was scheduled for March 20 at Newport District Court, police said.

Drunk driving charged

• Edward Comerford, 31, of 12 Green Lane, was charged March 14 with first offense drunk driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .15, police said.

According to police, Comerford was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Route 138.

He was found to be alledgly intoxicated.

Comerford was held at the police station and a pre-trial hearing was scheduled for April 3 at Newport District Court, police said.

• Thomas Walsh, 24, of North Kingstown, was charged March 14 with first offense drunk driving and refusal to submit to a Breathalyzer test during a traffic stop on Route 138, police said.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for March 27 at Newport District Court, police said.

Driving on a suspended license

Alexander Dwyer, 23, of Cranston, was charged March 14 with driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop, police said.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for March 27 at Newport District Court, police said.

Joseph Lagasse, 39, of Warwick, was charged March 14 with driving on an expired license during a traffic stop, police said.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for March 27 at Newport District Court, police said.
