Library hosts Trés Moutarde Sunday

The local group Trés Moutarde will perform a lively concert at the Jamestown library at 3 p.m. this Sunday, April 19.

Trés Moutarde was founded in 2004 in response to a musical "find." Bill Knapp, one of the original members of the group, discovered a box of musical arrangements of early 20th century popular songs in the basement of a consignment shop in Wakefield. The music had been used by the Spencer Orchestra, one of the small orchestras that played in the foyers and dining rooms of Rhode Island's resort hotels in the days before recorded music.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the program is free and open to the public.
