Census workers to visit Jamestown

Between April and July of this year, U.S. Census employees will visit every housing unit in every neighborhood in Jamestown.

In order to conduct the 2010 Decennial Census, the Census Bureau must know the address and physical location of each place where people live or stay.

The Census employees will wear official identification and carry hand-held computers to capture physical addresses and their GPS coordinates.

The Jamestown Police Department wants to inform the community about this important event to reduce public concern. If there are any questions, call the police station at 423-1212.
