Drunk driving charges

• Douglas Munroe, 47, of Richmond, was charged April 14 with first offense drunk driving and refusing to submit to a Breathalyzer test, police said.

According to police, Munroe was stopped on Route 138 after Jamestown police received notice from the North Kingstown Police Department to be on the lookout for an erratic driver.

Munroe was arraigned at Newport District Court on April 18, police said.

• David H. Jamison, 44, of 97 Sloop St., was charged April 11 with first offense drunk driving, police said.

According to police, Jamison was stopped on East Shore Road for erratic driving.

Jamison was held at the police station and a re-arraignment was scheduled for April 24 at Newport District Court, police said.

• Margaret Kopelcheck, 53, of 46 Mast St., was charged April 13 with first offense drunk driving and refusing to submit to a Breathalyzer test during a traffic stop, police said.

Kopelcheck was held at the police station and a pre-trial hearing was scheduled for April 13 at Newport District Court, police said.

• A juvenile, 17, of North Kingstown, was charged April 14 with first offense drunk driving, police said.

According to police, the juvenile was stopped on North Main Road after someone reported an erratic driver.

The case was referred to Family Court, police said.

Driving with a

suspended license charges

• Rocco Jweinat, 19, of Cranston, was charged April 14 with driving with a suspended license during a traffic stop on Route 138, police said.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for April 24 at Newport District Court, police said.

• Brandon Matarese, 24, of Cranston, was charged April 18 with driving with a suspended license during a traffic stop on Route 138, police said.

Driving on an expired

license charged

Kim Eldridge, 52, of Newport, was charged April 14 with driving with an expired license during a traffic stop on Route 138, police said.

Driving without a

license charged

A juvenile, 17, of Jamestown, was charged April 14, with driving without a license during a traffic stop on North Main Road, police said.
