Free music in Wickford during the summer

As part of Wickford Villages 300th celebration, there will be music in the streets most weekends and Friday nights throughout the summer.

All of the music is free and open to the public.

On Friday, May 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., listeners can have a bit of nostalgia with the tones of the Hummingbird Trio. These talented young women are local North Kingstown residents that sing Andrews Sisters and big band era songs.

On Saturday, May 30, Wickford will be host to two groups. Barnacle, a sea shanty and Celtic group, will be wandering the village in period costume from 1 to 3 p.m. Also from 1 to 3 p.m. on the deck, visitors can sit in the sun and listen to Ana Molla and Friends perform.

Be prepared to be soothed by the celestial harp and classical guitar of Theresa and Steven Tafuri in Updike Park, on the corner of Brown and Main Street, on Saturday, June 6.
