Enjoy summer with Save the Bay

Public access to the Bay and the tributaries of its watershed provides great summer fun. And learning, too.

What better way to enjoy the great outdoors than a summer paddle with Save The Bay?

The leading advocate for the health and safety of Narragansett Bay hosts canoe/kayak events in two of the Bay's most picturesque settings.

On June 20, enjoy a saltwater paddle around Pawtuxet Cove and (weather permitting) upper Narragansett Bay. On July 18, tour Barrington's Hundred Acre Cove and one of the best salt marsh ecosystems in the Bay.

Both Paddles are from 9 a.m. to noon.

Paddlers may use their own canoes or kayaks; rentals are available for $5. Canoes and kayaks must adhere to safety requirements outlined at www.savebay.org.

Summer Paddle tickets are $25 ($20 for Save The Bay Members). RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call Save The Bay at 401-272-3540 ext. 103 or email guide Rob Hancock - rhancock@ savebay.org.
