Jamestown Planning Commission members unanimously expressed support for a subdivision on a Clinton Avenue property because the applicant is attempting to comply with town ordinances, preserve trees and care for the environment. The preliminary review of the subdivision was held at the June 3 meeting.

• Linda Del Buono of Jamestown graduated from the University of Rhode Island on May 17 with a bachelor of science degree in textiles with a minor in art.

The Teen Center’s Youth Advisory Board, AMPT and Jamestown’s seventh grade Teen Institute 2009 participants will host a dodgeball tournament at the Recreation Center on Thursday, June 11, at 3:30 p.m.
All students in grades 5 through 8 are welcome to participate. Teams should have eight members who must wear uniforms.

Jocelyn A. (McNanna) O’Neill, 79, of Providence, died peacefully Friday, June 5, 2009 at Bethany House, Providence.
She was the wife of the late Raymond T. O’Neill Jr.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Raymond S. and Katherine (Benson) McNanna.
Mrs. O’Neill graduated from Classical High School and received her bachelor of arts degree from the Rhode Island College of Education. She earned a master’s in education from the University of Connecticut. More...
