Men’s summer chorus rehearsals under way

The Men’s Chorus of Jamestown will begin its summer rehearsals on Thursday, June 25. The chorus is open to all men and boys who enjoy singing.

The group is directed by founder B.J. Whitehouse and sings only throughout the summer. The group wants to maintain a low-pressure, high quality singing experience for its membership.

Rehearsals will be held on most Thursdays at the Conanicut Grange Hall at 6 West St. in Jamestown.

There are no auditions and only a modest fee for music. The men have been singing in the summers for about 15 years. New members are always welcome. Rehearsals run from 7 to 9 p.m.

The chorus will prepare a concert that will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29. For further information contact B.J. at 423-1574.
