POLICE LOG
      Disorderly conduct charge Alexandra Berl, 45, of 11 Galley St., was charged June 14 with disorderly conduct and simple assault at a downtown restaurant, police said. According to police, a call was made from the restaurant for an unruly patron who refused to leave. Berl was held at the Jamestown Police Station and a re-arraignment was scheduled for June 19 at Newport District Court, police said.

      5:48 a.m., June 7, EMS 1 went to Beacon Avenue for a medical emergency call and transported a patient to Newport Hospital. 8:57 a.m., June 7, EMS 1 was dispatched to Columbia Avenue for a medical emergency call and transported a patient to Newport Hospital. 10:30 a.m., June 7, EMS 1 was sent to Howland Avenue for a gas leak standby. No transportation was needed. 1:24 p.m., June 7, EMS 1 was sent to Ft. Getty Road for a medical emergency call and transported a patient to Newport Hospital.

      Building permits Michael and Michelle Botelho received a permit on June 8 to install an above ground pool at 63 Buoy St. Work estimated to cost $770. Mark Hubbard received a permit to set up a temporary above ground pool at 1 Stern St. Work estimated to cost $300.
