Disorderly conduct charge

Alexandra Berl, 45, of 11 Galley St., was charged June 14 with disorderly conduct and simple assault at a downtown restaurant, police said.

According to police, a call was made from the restaurant for an unruly patron who refused to leave.

Berl was held at the Jamestown Police Station and a re-arraignment was scheduled for June 19 at Newport District Court, police said.

Bench warrant violation Elizabeth E. Peixoto, 25, of Warwick, was charged June 14 with a bench warrant violation, police said.

According to police, Peixoto was taken into custody for a warrant after being called to the residence for a verbal argument.

Peixoto was held at the Adult Correctional Institutes and a hearing will be scheduled at Newport District Court, police said.

Driving on a suspended

license charges • Angel Franco, 33, of Providence, was charged June 14 with driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop on Route 138, police said.

An arraignment was scheduled for June 26 at Newport District Court, police said.

• Robert Downing, 50, of Cranston, was charged June 14 with driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop for speeding on North Road, police said.
