Men’s Chorus begins rehearsals this evening

The Men’s Chorus of Jame stown will begin summer rehearsals tonight, Thursday, June 25, at the Conanicut Grange at 6 West St. from 7 to 9 p.m. Men and boys, fathers and sons, grandsons and grandfathers, and uncles and brothers are all welcome to join the group, which is now in its sixteenth year.

The Men’s Chorus, directed by founder B.J. Whitehouse, will prepare an eclectic program of chanties, work songs, popular and classic songs, and military and ethnic songs for its Aug. 29 program. Auditions are not required and there is only a modest fee for music.

Rehearsals are typically held on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Conanicut Grange.
