Space still available in the Save the Bay camp
The Jamestown Education Foundation is co-sponsoring the Save The Bay Camp at Fort Getty with the Jamestown Recreation Department and Save the Bay. There are still spaces available for children entering grades 4 to 6.
The camp experience involves exploration of the coast and a trip to Rose Island on the Save the Bay research vessel.
Trained naturalists from Save the Bay work with students to explore the beaches, salt marshes, rocky shores, and shallows of our island.
One day is devoted to underwater exploration aboard the Alleta-Morris.
The half-day camp meets during the weeks of July 6 to 10, and Aug. 10 to 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the afternoon.
Registration forms may be found at www.jamestowneducationfoundation. org or from the Jamestown Recreation Department.
The tuition is $70 per week and scholarship assistance is available from the Jamestown Education Foundation.
