Notice of Public Hearing
A Public Hearing will be held on July 15 for the Comprehensive Permit Application for Affordable Housing for 79 North Road, a ten unit multi family structure, at a meeting of the Jamestown Planning Commission beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers located at 93 Narragansett Avenue in Jamestown.
This project consists of the development of a ten unit multi-family structure within the approximate footprint of an existing commercial retail building, commercial swimming pool and ancillary storage buildings. The project is comprised of Tax Assessors Plat (AP) 8 Lot 97 and is directly adjacent to North Road and is accessed from North Road, a public street. The Planning Commission will be the permitting authority on this application which includes a Special Use Permit for the use as a multi-family structure, Development Plan Review and Variances for Minimum Lot Size, Front Setback, Side Setback and Rear Setback. Said lot proposed for development begins less than 1/10th of a mile (300 feet) south of the intersection with Arnold Avenue on the west side of North Road.
Interested parties may examine the plans for the Comprehensive Permit Application at the Jamestown Planning Office, located at the Town Hall, 93 Narragansett Avenue Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am to 1:00pm, 423-7210.
The Planning Commission will review and act on the development plan, the special use permit as well as the requested variances through the Comprehensive Permit process. The proposed project may be revised by the Planning Commission as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the Public Hearing.
