The Newport Democratic City Committee will sponsor dancing with the Magnolia Cajun Band on Thursday, July 30, from 8 to 11 p.m., at the Elks Lodge at the corner of Pelham and Bellevue in Newport.

Admission, $20 at the door, includes free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
