Learn the ‘language of dogs’ at the library
The Jamestown Philomenian Library will present “Speak! The Language of Dogs,” a program focusing on basic safety and good manners for dogs and kids, this Saturday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m.
Children will learn dog-training basics and how hand signals, body language, facial expression and tone of voice can be used to communicate with dogs. Children will also learn to use American Sign Language to give their pet or favorite stuffed animal a unique “sign name” that will be theirs forever.
This free hour-long program is presented by Providence Animal Rescue and is supported by the Friends of the Jamestown Library.
Registration is not required. Bring an old towel, blanket or canned food for the animal shelter.
