      DUI charges •John Vieira, 52, of 35 Bryer Ave., was charged July 24 with first offense DUI during a traffic stop on Bryer Avenue, police said. He was held at the police station and a re-arraignment was scheduled for July 27 in Newport District Court, according to police.
