BankNewport collects food donations for R.I. Food Bank

Now through Aug. 22, all BankNewport branch offices will collect community donations of the non-perishable food items that are most needed at the R.I. Community Food Bank, including canned meats, soups, fruits and vegetables, as well as rice, cereals, peanut butter, beans and whole wheat pasta. Donations will be accepted during banking hours.

The R.I. Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization that solicits, stores and distributes food products donated by supermarkets, wholesalers, food processors, local farmers and community food drives, and distributes them to its network of 285 member agencies.
