Polynesian dancers to perform at library

The dance troupe Napua O Polynesia will perform for children and their families at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the Jamestown Philomenian Library meeting hall.

Napua O Polynesia will take attendees to the islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand and the Marquesas in song and dance, using authentic implements such as drums, gourds and bamboo sticks. There will be an opportunity for audience participation.

Registration is not required for this free program, which is for children ages 4 to 12 and their families.

Napua O’Polynesia is sponsored by the Friends of the Jamestown Library, and other sponsors of the state’s summer reading program for children.
