John S. McCue
John S. McCue, of Jamestown, died suddenly on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. He was the husband of Jacqueline McCue and the former husband of the late Adeline (Margarella) McCue.
Born in Miami, Fla., he was the son of the late John J. and Marjorie B. (Stuart) McCue.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving in WWII.
McCue was a master electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 99, before retiring. He was a member of the Masonic Mount Vernon Lodge No.4, the R.I. Society Sons of the American Revolution, the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America, the Society of Colonial Wars in the state of R.I., Alliance Francaise de Newport, RI State Rifle and Revolver Association and the Newport Rifle Club.
Besides his wife, he leaves his three beloved children, Dr. John A. McCue of Providence, William McCue of South Kingstown and Kitty McCue Durtschi of Sun Valley, Idaho; and five grandchildren.
His funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 17. Burial with military honors was in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
