Welcome Nemo and Minzi to the island. The two male guinea pigs were adopted from the Potter League for Animals by islander Daniela Frater. Gail Van Reen, 60, died Aug. 30, 2009, at her home in East Greenwich. She was the wife of Fred Van Reen.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Margaret G. (Shea) Rider.
Mrs. Van Reen was a nutritionist at Newport County Headstart program for many years before her illness. More...
