Thanks to all for talent show support
The Jamestown Community Chorus wishes to thank everyone who helped make the 20th annual talent show such a success.
It truly takes a community to put on a talent show, and Jamestown rallied to this event with enthusiasm and generosity.
Heartfelt thanks go out to our entire cast of stellar performers, who provided such fine entertainment; to everyone who bought tickets and attended the show; to all who took a chance on winning the raffle; and to all who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the event to the stage.
The chorus is most appreciative of the continuing support it receives from local businesses. We thank Jamestown Hardware, the Secret Garden, and Baker’s Pharmacy for their help in selling advance tickets; McQuade’s for the opportunity to sell raffle tickets at their door; and the recreation center staff.
Thanks also to the Jamestown Press for its coverage of the event as it took shape over the summer.
The chorus, founded in 1949 and now celebrating its 60th year, is planning a very special concert for Dec. 12-13. All who love to sing are encouraged to join! There are no auditions. Rehearsals will start on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church.
